This opportunity is specifically for individuals fulfilling Court-Ordered Community Service Hours. If you are not seeking court-ordered hours, please refer to our other volunteer opportunities.
Eligibility & Requirements
Minimum Age:
- You must be at least 18 years of age for court-ordered community service.
Required on Your First Day:
- Original Court Document or Citation: Stating your charge and name.
- Original & Valid Photo ID.
- KNFB Paperwork: You may complete this online beforehand, or fill out a copy upon arrival.
Accepted Charges:
- Traffic Violations
- Non-Moving Traffic Violations (e.g., expired tags/registration/license)
- DUI
- Misdemeanor Possession
Disqualifying Charges (We DO NOT Accept):
- Any Felony
- Any Firearm-Related Charges
- Disorderly Conduct
- Domestic Violence
- Theft of Any Kind (including theft by conversion, shoplifting)
- Violent Charges
- Child or Animal Abuse
- Vandalism
- Trespassing
- Stalking
- Assault or Battery
- Panhandling
- Terrorist Threats
- Intentional Damage to Property of Another
Your Role & Impact
Help Keep North Fulton Beautiful divert waste from landfills! You will guide customers to correct recycling bins, assist in collecting donations, sort incoming recyclables, and bale cardboard and plastics. Your efforts ensure materials are ready for recycling into new products, contributing directly to a cleaner North Fulton.
Logistics & Important Notes
Dress Code & Safety:
- Wear comfortable, protective clothing suitable for the day's weather.
- Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
- You will be working outdoors, often near heavy items, vehicles, and machinery. Your safety is our priority!
- Please bring your own clearly-marked reusable water bottle.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday-Saturday: 9 AM - 5 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Community Service Shifts:
- Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis (no pre-registration).
Closures:
- Holidays: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.
- Inclement Weather: We close when Fulton County Schools are closed due to weather.
Service Log Finalization:
- We require a minimum of 24 business hours from your final hour of service to finalize and return your verified service log.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Through the SNAP Shortfall
We are not worried about running out of food. We are worried about our neighbors who need help. Just based on the increased number of inquiries for help in the last 3 days, we know that an increased demand is real. We were born from a crisis, and we will continue to do whatever we need to do to make sure no one goes hungry in our backyard. We will be the solid safety net when the federal one frays. That is to say – with your help.
