Sandy Springs HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE EVENT

Keep North Fulton Beautiful will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event sponsored by the City of Sandy Springs at 450 Morgan Falls Place  Sandy Springs, GA  30350.

Items Accepted:

• Paint: Limit of 80 pounds per vehicle  (Additional gallons may be recycled at our drop off center every day for a small fee.)
• ​Herbicides, Pesticides, Fertilizer, Pool Chemicals 
• Motor Oil, Anti-Freeze, Gasoline
• Mercury (thermostats, thermometers)
• Batteries and Electronics (CRTs, TVs, monitors, etc.)
• Propane Cylinders, Fire Extinguishers, Smoke Detectors, Aerosols

Items NOT Accepted:

• NO Medical waste, Needles
• NO Ammunition, Explosives
• NO Pharmaceuticals

I'm not a resident of Sandy Springs, but I live very nearby. Can I attend this event?

Unfortunately, no, you may not. This event is for Sandy Springs residents only as it is sponsored by the City of Sandy Springs. We will be checking residency and will direct you to exit the event if you are not a resident.

How much paint can I bring?

Paint is limited to 80 pounds total per vehicle, or approximately 10 gallons.

What kind of paint can I bring?

Latex, oil-based, acrylic, any kind of paint is welcome!

Is there a fee to attend this event?

Due to the generous support of the City of Sandy Springs, there is no fee to attend. However, donations to our non-profit are gratefully accepted and go to support our environmental education, litter prevention, and water protection programs.  Your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law.

Is this at Keep North Fulton Beautiful?

No.  If you come to KNFB you're close, but we'll be at the ballfields next door.

Will you accept refrigerators, dehumidifiers, or A/C units at this event?  They have hazardous materials in them.

Not at this event. You can recycle these items at our drop off center anytime during our normal business hours.
