Sandy Springs & Johns Creek | November 1st-29th 2021
Keep North Fulton Beautiful is asking members of the North Fulton Community to STEP UP, STEP OUT, and CLEAN UP in the the cities of Johns Creek and Sandy Springs during it's GA Gives Day Litter-a-Thon from November 1st-29th. Participants compete to win a grand prize from North Fulton's own Peach Coffee Roasters: a bag of locally and freshly-roasted, sustainably sourced coffee beans; a $10 gift card to Peach Coffee Roasters; AND an insulated canteen for that steaming cup of victory.
Participants will pick up litter while raising funds for KNFB's environmental events, programs, and services--including Household Hazardous Waste Events, the Adopt-a-Road Program, the recycling center, environmental education programs, and river cleanups.
On November 30th, Georgia Gives Day—Georgia’s biggest giving day—donations will be called in from participants' pledge sponsors, and TWO grand-prize winners will be determined—one for the Johns Creek Litter-a-Thon, and one for the Sandy Springs Litter-a-Thon. KNFB's goal is to reach $1,000!
How to participate
1. Enter the Johns Creek or Sandy Springs Litter-a-Thon to create your unique "Fundraiser Profile." This is where your pledge sponsors can cheer you on and donate to your personal Litter-a-Thon!
2. Ask sponsors to pledge a dollar amount for every pound of litter you pick up between November 1st-29th to go towards your fundraising effort. Here's a toolkit with some pre-made items that will make this super easy. All fundraising amounts will be calculated on November 30th, Georgia Gives Day, but you can keep track of your ranking as you go on the Johns Creek and Sandy Springs Litter-a-Thon leaderboards.
3. Start picking up litter! Find as many sponsors as you can and pick up as much litter as you can between November 1st-29th.
How to WIN the Grand Prize
The participants who raise the most funds in the Sandy Springs Litter-a-Thon and the Johns Creek Litter-a-Thon by November 30th will each win a GRAND PRIZE from Peach Coffee Roasters.
Peach Coffee Roasters is right here in North Fulton. They focus on promoting social and environmental responsibility through a coffee lens, and in fact are so dedicated to this mission they have even become Keep North Fulton Beautiful Adopt-a-Road Sponsors! We are grateful for their generous support for this event and their volunteer service with KNFB!
