Sandy Springs Recycling Center will hold a Scrap Tire Collection Event from January 18-30, Monday-Saturday from 10AM-4PM.
*Watch this page for updates; if we have extra capacity towards the latter part of the event, we will allow tires from surrounding communities.
UPDATE JANUARY 26: We have capacity for more tires, so we will now accept tires from surrounding communities, as space permits.
This event is made possible by a grant from the Georgia Environmental Protection Division's Local Government Scrap Tire Abatement (STAR) Reimbursement Program to the City of Sandy Springs. The STAR program is supported by fees collected on the sale of new tires, and are held in the Georgia Solid Waste Trust Fund.

We are not worried about running out of food. We are worried about our neighbors who need help. Just based on the increased number of inquiries for help in the last 3 days, we know that an increased demand is real. We were born from a crisis, and we will continue to do whatever we need to do to make sure no one goes hungry in our backyard. We will be the solid safety net when the federal one frays. That is to say – with your help.
